This MG42 was made in 1944 at the Gustloff-Werke plant in Suhl, Thüringen, Germany. Converted to fire 7.62x51mm from its original 8mm, it makes an excellent investment or range toy that fired easily sourcable ammunition. Also comes with 8mm parts to convert back if desired. Included is a Lafette 42 mount for supported firing. This is a very low production serial number example in good condition.
